JLP Sustainer Spotlight: Rodie Purcell

Head Shot

How many years have you been in the league? Since 2001-ish

What committee(s) have you served on? JLDC Cook Book, Kids on the Block, and Art Harvest

Favorite thing to do in Phoenix? We go into town for good restaurants, museums, concerts, shows & JLP events!

If you had an extra 8 hours in your day what would you do with it? I would work out more, cook, share that 8 hours with my husband & kids!

In your opinion what is the best thing about being a JLP member? I love the good work the JLP does in the community. I like that all of the funds stay in Maricopa. More than anything, I adore the friends I have made in the JLP!

What do you miss about your active membership in the league? I miss the connection & solidified commonality of goals we are meant to have in committees.

Why did you join the JLP? We just moved to Phoenix. Since the Junior League is everywhere, it was one of my first connections! More over my pal Margaret Moody was already involved.

What do you want other people to know about JLP? That we do real, actual work! That we make deep & meaningful impact on the lives of the people we serve.

Favorite JLP memory? My first Rummage Party & my first White Pary with my old pals!
