Louisiana Flood Relief

Streetcar2

jlnoThe Junior League of New Orleans is mobilizing to help those that have been affected by the flooding in Louisiana.

While there are many agencies who will be assisting with those affected by the floodwaters, JLNO wants to do something as a women’s organization that is different. As the largest League in the state, they are best equipped due to our size and resource access to make a major impact for those affected. These donations will be given directly to the Leagues in the areas affected in order to share with their members who have suffered losses or to be given at the Leagues’ discretion to help meet immediate needs in their community. The JNLO will also be sharing diapers with the Junior League of Baton Rouge Diaper Co-op, United Way of Southeast Louisiana, and local churches and community centers for dissemination to their shelters in the affected parishes.

Therefore, they are requesting the following donations:

  • Diapers in all sizes.
  • Women’s feminine hygiene products to be taken to shelters.
  • Gift cards in $20 amounts to Target and WalMart.

Donations will be accepted at Junior League of New Orleans Headquarters, 4319 Carondelet St., during normal business hours of 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. They will continue to accept donations until further notice.

In addition, financial contributions can also be made using this form:  click here.
