KITK had their first annual Fall Fest at Homeward Bound on Friday, 11/8. Over 70 residents of Homeward Bound joined the committee for dinner, games and fun for the evening. The 17 families that attended enjoyed Chipotle chicken burrito bowls for dinner, Food BINGO and carnival games for the kids.

During the event, Deborah Stewart Weaver, a JLP member, spoke to parents about healthy eating and the evening wrapped up with a ‘make your own parfait’ station. On top of all that, the committee was able to provide the families with brand new sets of pots & pans, tons of kitchen utensils and toys for the kids.

The KITK goal was to be able to set the families up for success, talk about healthy eating and provide them the resources to do so. That goal was achieved!
