Foundation Announces 2016 JLP Grant Recipients!

The Junior League of Phoenix Foundation Board of Directors is proud to announce that the Foundation has awarded the Junior League of Phoenix with the following grants:
 Foundation grants
  • $1,500 to train members of PAC (Public Affairs Committee) at the Annual Conference. This committee will advocate for JLP’s mission and be ambassadors for JLP’s programs. They will inform the public and public officials about the JLP’s mission and focus area of Building a Healthy Arizona
  • $2,938 to fully fund the new CLO (Community Leadership & Outreach) program. This program will educate and train JLP members in core leadership areas in order to add the JLP voice and women to the Greater Phoenix nonprofit community. The program will begin creating a network of nonprofit entities that are interested in incorporating current and former JLP members in their leadership.
  • $8,945 to fully fund six JLP members to attend an ODI (Organizational Development Institute). ODIs have demonstrated their effectiveness as informative, inspiring and innovative three-day weekend training programs. Attending ODI can be key to a leader’s success as they help her build leadership skills and provide training in fundamental areas.
  • $5,000 for league- wide training, open to all members, with a renowned trainer, such as Vicki Clark.
For a grand total of $18,383 in funding!! We are proud to support the training aspect mission of Junior League of Phoenix as it impacts the future and development of the League and it’s members.
