The Junior League of Phoenix, Incorporated Training

The depth of the training The Junior League of Phoenix provides allows its members to be among the most effective and caring volunteers in the community. The community benefits greatly from the training offered as the JLP volunteers bring an added emotional and intellectual component to volunteering and approach it with more mental initiative.

The Junior League of Phoenix, Incorporated provides training for its members in the following ways:

Members receive training opportunities both internal and external to The Junior League, such as advocacy training which educates members about current issues and other areas that impact the needs of the community. Members are also provided leadership development opportunities to not only hold leadership positions in The Junior League, but provide expertise in the community by serving on boards, fundraisers, or as advocates or liaisons for other non-profit organizations.

The Provisional New Member Course teaches the newest members about the rich history of The Junior League of Phoenix providing service for over 75 years in the Valley and past and current programs resulting from JLP volunteer hours and fundraising efforts. The course also highlights the global impact of being part of a larger movement of women and a member of the Association of Junior League International; as well the challenges and opportunities facing the Metro Phoenix community.
