About the JLP

The Junior League of Phoenix is dedicated to providing volunteer service throughout the Valley to positively impact the lives of families and individuals every day. The Junior League of Phoenix is a member of The Association of Junior Leagues International Inc. (AJLI), which is comprised of 293 member Leagues in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the United Kingdom. The JLP is comprised of nearly 1,000 members from throughout the Valley.

The Junior League of Phoenix is governed by an 8-member board of directors, which is made up of the JLP president, active and sustaining directors, a secretary, finance director, and operations director. The board is accountable to the members for the development of the stategic goals, which enhances JLP's ability to fulfill our Mission. These goals also are also communicated to the operations team, which helps to execute these goals through day-to-day activities and events.

The Junior League of Phoenix, Incorporated (JLP) is a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit organization. All of our programs are supported by membership dues, foundation and corporate grants and revenue-producing efforts.

"The Junior League is the foremost community leader in Greater Phoenix. The League's long-term commitment supports the most critical areas of need. Most major community projects for the past three decades have been researched, initiated, funded and created by The Junior League of Phoenix. What an awesome group of women!" - Betsy Bayless, Director of AZ Department of Administration & Arizona Secretary of State (1997-2002); Sustainer member, The Junior League of Phoenix

Our Mission

The Junior League of Phoenix is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.

Our Focus

Every person in Phoenix should have access to healthy food and to the information that can help them improve the health of their families. The Junior League of Phoenix intends to “Build a Healthy Arizona” in two ways: (1) with programs addressing food insecurity/food access, and (2) with programs addressing nutrition and obesity.

Reaching Out Statement

The Junior League of Phoenix, Incorporated reaches out to women of all races, religions and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism.
